As a courtesy to our patients, we always try to contact your insurance company to verify your eligibility and benefits for your procedure and office visits. Some benefit plans may cover the procedure but apply the amounts to your deductible and coinsurance, other benefit plans may not cover it. Our goal is give the best care at a low cost for our patients. We strive to be as upfront as possible to help the patient make the best decision in their care.
We will give your an estimated patient obligation before your appointment based on the information your insurance company gives us.
If you are scheduled for a Screening colonoscopy, please note we are unable to predict if a scheduled Screening colonoscopy will become diagnostic. With any procedure we are unable to predict if biopsies will be taken resulting in additional physician and pathology charges. In rare instances the pathologist will require a second opinion and will send it to another pathologist.
